Virat Kohli Urges Importance Of Following Protocols Following Spike In Covid-19 Cases

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli has brought out the importance of following the protocols during the tough times in a video uploaded on the Delhi police Twitter handle. The whole nation has been facing the heat after the number of cases per day has increased at a rapid rate and the Government has been warning people to stay safe.

There have been lockdowns imposed in states that have a lot of cases including Maharasthra and now the other big cities have also placed curfews. The Indian skipper is part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore setup in IPL currently and has captained his team exceedingly well so far with three wins in three games. His home city Delhi is also under restrictions till 26th April as announced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Virat Kohli Requests Everyone To Wear Masks:

Virat Kohli advised the Indian citizens to be aware of the rapidly rising Covid cases and added that the situation is very difficult for everyone. He requested everyone to wear masks, follow social distancing and sanitize hands while moving out of the home to reduce the possibilities of acquiring the virus and stay safe.

“Friends, as you all are aware that the number of Covid cases is increasing rapidly and the situation is becoming challenging with each passing day,” Virat Kohli said.

“I would therefore once again request all of you to wear masks whenever you leave your home to buy essentials or for important work, please follow social distancing and keep sanitizing your hands,” he added.

Virat Kohli Explains The Challenges In The Situation:

Virat Kohli told that the protocols are meant for the health of the people and they must follow it as a citizen to fight the pandemic situation. He also wanted the people to support the police personnel who are taking the high risk to safeguard the people. He concluded the video by requesting the people to understand their responsibility and follow the protocols.

“It’s very important to follow all these protocols. To fight this pandemic once again, we will have to support our police personnel.

“As I have said before, the country will only be safe when the citizens are safe. Please understand your responsibility and follow all these protocols, Jai Hind,” Virat Kohli signed off.

Virat Kohli is yet to win an IPL trophy and he would be hoping to lead his team to victory in this IPL.
