However, this move hasn’t gone down well with some of Virat Kohli’s teammates. There is growing resentment that Kohli is getting “special treatment,” as he had already undergone his fitness tests in London while others attended the BCCI’s NCA in Bengaluru for the same.
Many felt this is unfair, as Kohli became the cricketing superstar in India, but he is living in England, which doesn’t set the right example. Meanwhile, other cricketers have chosen different paths, like the seasoned Indian speedster Mohammed Shami.

Indirectly taking a dig at Kohli for shifting base to London, the Indian journalist mentioned some have built homes in Dubai or Mumbai, and some are residing in London, so why does Mohammed Shami prefer to stay in his hometown of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh?
Shami smiled and said that he doesn’t have so much money to live abroad, taking a jibe at Virat’s decision to leave India, which has given him so much love, fame, and wealth. Mohammed Shami said on India TV’s ‘Aap ki Adalat’ show, “I am a poor man. I don't have that much money.”

Mohammed Shami opens up about his darkest moment
Shami revealed that he once had thoughts of ending his life, but after remembering how much cricket had given him, he decided against it. He thought about the love and support from fans and family and decided to focus on his game instead of ending his life after his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, made a series of allegations, including allegations of domestic violence.
He signed off by saying, “The thought came to my mind, but it did not happen, thank God, otherwise I'd have missed the World Cup. The thought came to my mind to end my life, but then I decided, "This game, which gave me so much name, why should I jump to death, forgetting all these?" I thought of the love and affection. Then I decided, Forget this and focus on my game.”
