Virat Kohli and Shakib Al Hasan fail to perform in first Test

Coming to the performances, both Virat Kohli and Shakib Al Hasan didn't have the kind of game they would've wanted. The India batter struggled to get going with the bat in both the innings and didn't live up to the expectations that were set up by him.

Virat Kohli scored 6 runs in the first innings and then couldn't make a bigger impact in the second innings as well. He was trapped in lbw by Mehidy Hasan Miraz as he was back in the hut for 17 runs, and he made a big blunder by not taking the DRS.

On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan, too, has struggled big time with the bat and ball. He bowled 8 overs in the first innings and couldn't take a single wicket.
