Indian cricket star Virat Kohli's sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, seems disappointed with Team India's recent performance in Test cricket under the reign of current Indian coach Gautam Gambhir.
Virat Kohli was known for his mentality and staunch personality on the field. During his time, India, which was once not considered one of the best nations in red-ball cricket despite having won all the major ICC limited-overs titles, climbed up the ladder to attain the No. 1 Test ranking for the first time.
Kohli himself was a great leader and paired alongside coach Ravi Shastri, who had a very successful span with the Indian Test team. Under the two, India might not have won an ICC tournament, but India reached new heights in the longest format of the game.
Virat Kohli's sister's indirect dig at Gautam Gambhir for India's weak Test performance
India is currently playing in the 5-match Test series against England, as Shubman Gill has been appointed as the new skipper, replacing former retired skipper Rohit Sharma. After the captain, even Kohli announced his retirement from the longest format of the game.
India has been convincing at times, and players have attained individual glory; however, that has not been very advantageous from the team's point of view, as India trails 2-1 in the series and does not find itself in a very promising position for the ongoing Test at Manchester.
Gautam Gambhir has received immense criticism for his inability to attain similar success with the Indian red-ball side as much as he has with the white-ball side. India has won only one Test series since its arrival, which was against Bangladesh at home.
India, since then, lost the New Zealand home series by 3-0 and then followed with another humiliating loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25. Bhawna indicates through her Instagram story that her passion for Test cricket has grown watching Virat Kohli play over the years; however, Gambhir's failure has brought a major jolt to the quality of the game.

Virat Kohli—The most successful Indian Test Captain
Talking of the Indian legend, he is undoubtedly one of the most praised stars in world cricket. But he has often been praised more for his stunning antics with the bat, though he was a remarkable skipper as well.
Though he has limited success in the ICC events, he led India to several semi-finals, as well as the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 and the WTC 2021 finals. Though India could not attain any title, it emerged as a major force in Test cricket under his leadership.
With his aggression and determination, he could take down any opposition, which included defeating the Australians on repeated occasions in the BGT. Having led India in 68 Tests, he won 40 games with the Men in Blue and has the highest win percentage as an Indian Test skipper.

Shubman Gill eyeing Virat Kohli's captaincy aura with on-field aggression
The current Indian skipper, Shubman Gill, is a young and dynamic player, but he is new to the captaincy dimension. Though Gill possesses experience in leading the State team and the Gujarat Titans in the IPL, he marked his debut as a Test captain in England.
In his very first series after being appointed the Indian Test skipper, Gill has shown great standards but has also been criticized for some odd decisions and on-field aggression.
Some identified that he is following in the footsteps of Virat Kohli after Gill looked agitated during the final minutes of play on Day 3 of the Lord's Test.
Shubman Gill also led India to their first-ever victory at Edgbaston in the second Test, where he broke a pile of records, scoring a historic double-hundred and 430 overall runs in the match.
