Virender Sehwag, a former Indian player who is well-known for his amusing and witty social media postings and tweets, created a tweet on Ashish Nehra in which he stated, “Ashish Nehra is prepping for the UK Prime Minister elections.”
In a tweet, Pakistani political analyst Zaid Hamid misidentified Nehra as Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, who won gold at the Olympics.
When he wrote on Twitter, “And what makes this victory, even more, sweeter is the fact that this Pakistani athlete has destroyed Indian javelin throw hero Ashish nehra,”

Zaid Hamid of Pakistan mistook the former Indian speedster, Ashish Nehra, for India’s Olympic gold medal-winning javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra. Ashish has previously defeated Arshad Nadeem in the competition. What an adorable way to get even.
Virender Sehwag posted the cutout of Zaid Hamid’s tweet:
Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan won a gold medal in the javelin throw at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but Hamid claimed that he bested Ashish Nehra in a tweet! “Chicha, Ashish Nehra is currently gearing up for UK Prime Minister Elections,” Virender Sehwag tweeted beside the cutout of Zaid Hamid’s tweet. So relaxed
In Birmingham’s recently finished Commonwealth Games 2022, Pakistan’s Arshad won gold by breaking the 90-meter barrier and became the first Asian to do so. Due to an injury, Neeraj Chopra, another Indian competitor, was unable to compete in the men’s javelin competition. In addition to defeating the Pakistani in the World Athletics Championships last month, where the Indian took silver, the Indian also won gold at the Tokyo Olympics last year.
Although Arshad Nadeem gave a strong performance at the CWG 2022, Indian actor Neeraj Chopra was not afraid to compliment his Pakistani colleague. The gold medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, who is also a close friend of the Pakistani, sent a congratulations message even though he was not present.
