The Indian captain Rohit Sharma also followed Kohli’s path, calling time on his T20I career at the post-match press conference after celebrating the T20 World Cup 2024 title triumph in Barbados.

Jadeja, one of the finest all-rounders the game has ever seen across the formats, followed suit, announcing his retirement from the T20I cricket day after his teammates’ retirement.

Well, acknowledging Kohli, Rohit, and Jadeja’s immense contributions to the game over the years, Laxman hailed the trio for setting high standards and serving as role models for generations.

In a heartfelt message, Laxman expressed gratitude for the passion and pride with which Kohli, Rohit, and Ravindra Jadeja played the game while paying tribute to their exemplary careers in T20I cricket.

However, they have bid farewell to T20I cricket, but they continue playing ODI and Test cricket, and Laxman is confident that they will continue to inspire the young players with their game in these formats.
