India captain Rohit Sharma's horror form with the bat continued as he failed once again in the ongoing Ranji Trophy clash between Mumbai and Jammu and Kashmir at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC, Mumbai.
The right-handed batsman has been facing severe criticism for his woeful batting form in recent times and his latest displays for Mumbai are only going to put more pressure on him. After failing to do well for India in recent months, the T20 World Cup-winning captain made himself available for Mumbai's ongoing Ranji Trophy game.
Expectations were sky-high from the star batsman but he failed to deliver in the game. Rohit could not deliver with the bat in any of the two innings. In the first innings, he scored only 3 runs as Mumbai were all out for 120.

Rohit had the opportunity to turn things around in the second innings but he failed once again. The India captain got the start in the second innings, racing away to 28 runs with the help of two fours and three sixes. However, he could not convert it into a big score and departed for 28 off 35 balls.
The right-hander once again played a poor shot to get out. Abid Mushtaq took a brilliant one-handed catch to end Rohit's stay at the crease.

Rohit Sharma's disastrous form:
Rohit Sharma failed to lead the Indian team from the front in their last two Test series. He looked completely out of touch during the humiliating 3-0 loss at home against New Zealand. In those 3 Tests, he scored only 91 runs at an average of 15.
Rohit Sharma had the opportunity to make amends when India toured Australia for the five-match series. He missed the first Test to attend the birth of his second child and in his absence, India went on to beat the hosts to take the lead in the series.
The veteran batsman had the perfect platform to roar back to form and guide India to a famous series win. However, he endured a terrible time in Australia, both as a batsman and a captain. India went on to lose the series 3-1 and Rohit Sharma faced criticism from all quarters.
He played in three of the five Tests before opting out of the fifth Test in Sydney. In those three Tests, Rohit Sharma scored only 31 runs with a top score of 10. He will be playing for India next when the Men in Blue take on England in a three-match ODI series next month.
With the Champions Trophy to take place next month as well, Rohit would be desperate to regain his top form ahead of the marquee event.
