Watch: Already married! Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam engaged in hilarious conversation over latter's marriage

Former Pakistan captain and star batter Babar Azam had a hilarious conversation about his marriage with teammate and wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan during a live session on Babar’s official X (formerly Twitter) account yesterday and the video is now going viral all over social media.

Babar Azam had invited his fans and followers on X to join his session in asking questions about various matters related to his personal as well as professional life. That session was co-hosted by Talha Aisham who is among the founders of Saya Corporation that works in the management of the country’s biggest cricketing stars.

Both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are managed by the same company, which a few months ago, came under the suspicion of intervening in the matters of player selection for the national side. Saya Corporation was all over the news for that reason but all the controversy has died down to a lot of extent at the moment.

Therefore, it was a perfect opportunity for them to organize a session of this sort and give fans a transparent chance to ask whatever is on their mind. The session which has been named as “From Pitch to the Mic: Babar Azam”, amassed a lot of listeners, 177k to be precise, and the star batter completed that hour-long session from Bangladesh where he is currently featuring in the Bangladesh Premier League for the Rangpur Riders.

Midway through that session, Babar’s teammate Mohammad Rizwan came through and asked him about his plans for marriage in the near future. The former said that he was expecting a question like that from Rizwan and what followed was a very hilarious and real conversation between the two.

“Mister when are you going to get married?” Rizwan asked. “I knew you were going to ask me this question.” Babar responded. “But now that I have asked, you have to answer the question.” Rizwan carried on. “Boss I will tell you that in private” – Babar replied during the live session on X.

Babar Azam is a very popular figure on social media as he is often trolled for his performances and comments every now and then. His fans are also very keen about knowing his personal life and the topic of his marriage often becomes a trending topic.

While responding to Rizwan’s query, the 29-year-old batter revealed a funny story about people making false stories about his marriage and that every day he wakes up in the morning to find a new wife.

“Nowadays, when I wake up in the morning, I find that I am married to someone. People start congratulating me. Then again, in the evening I am married to someone else. People again congratulate me. So I am already married. Now you should focus on someone else.” – Babar Azam concluded the session on X.

The Lahore-born cricketer is expected to return to Pakistan from Bangladesh by next week in order to feature in the 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League, starting from February 13.
