Mayank Agarwal looked pretty solid with the bat in the second innings but unfortunately couldn't carry on the start that he got. The opening batter scored 30 runs off 64 balls and also slammed two boundaries in his innings that took the team past 100 runs on the board.

Before removing Mayank Agarwal, Anshul Kamboj removed Tilak Varma to keep his team in the game. The left-hander managed just 19 runs off 41 balls with the help of 1 six before he was caught by India D skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad to give the pacer his first wicket.

Anshul Kamboj was magnificent with the ball in the first innings as well. The lanky pacer picked three wickets, removing Pratham Singh, Mayank Agarwal, and Tanush Kotian. He returned with the figures of 3/49 and helped his team end the opposition's innings on 297.

Kamboj hogged the headlines after his record-breaking performance in the last game against India B. He picked 8 wickets in the innings and became the only third pacer in the history of the Duleep Trophy to record eight wickets in the innings. He joined the likes of Debasis Mohanty (10/46) and Ashoke Dinda (8/123) in the elite list of Indian domestic cricket.

Anshul Kamboj, who doesn't have much First-Class experience, has been putting in hard yards. His ability to hit the deck hard has caught the attention of many.

He came into the scenes during the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he was among the leading wicket-takers, taking 17 scalps from 10 matches. His sensational performances in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 have grabbed the eyeball of many and he is hoping to continue his fine form and make his case strong for the Indian team.
