Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) superstar Virat Kohli was seen giving an aggressive send-off to the star Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opening batsman Abhishek Sharma after his dismissal on Friday, May 23.

The reaction of Virat Kohli's wife, Anushka Sharma, was caught on camera as her husband was seen giving a send-off to the young SRH batter in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Abhishek Sharma plays a quickfire knock in the RCB vs SRH clash

The left-handed opener Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant innings for his team after the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were invited to bat first in the match by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Abhishek Sharma displayed an attacking brand of cricket, and he took all the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers to the cleaners.

He looked unstoppable in the middle as he was smashing the bowlers all over the park, but his innings was brought to an end in the 4th over, which was bowled by the Proteas right-arm pacer Lungi Ngidi.

On the 6th ball of the 4th over, Lungi Ngidi bowled a full-length ball on middle and leg stump to Abhishek Sharma. The SRH opener went for a flick towards deep backward square leg, where Phil Salt came in running and took a well-judged running catch near the boundary.

As Abhishek Sharma got out and was seen walking back to the hut with 34 runs under his belt in 17 balls, with 3 fours and 3 sixes, Virat Kohli came in running and was seen giving him an aggressive send-off.

Kohli roared while looking at Abhishek and Anushka Sharma, who was in the stands, was delighted seeing the way things panned out in the middle and was seen clapping with a smile on her face.

It's going to be hard for them to pick things up - RCB handed a big warning

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the match, former SRH coach Tom Moody handed a big warning to RCB, saying that playing after a long time will be tough for them. He said:

"It's too long, definitely in the middle of a tournament and for them it hasn't solved all their injury problems. They've still got some issues with regards to players that are out of the tournament and haven't returned in Hazlewood. So yeah, it's going to be hard for them to pick things up and try to find that rhythm and that momentum again."

Meanwhile, Varun Aaron said that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru would be happy to play the game out of the Chinnaswamy Stadium. He said:

"I think it's going to be good for them. Anything out of Bangalore is going to be good. One because of the rains and also even if they had to play, the wicket would have been very, very tacky. And their batting order, sorry, their batting lineup will always do better on a solid hard wicket."
