Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has been targeted by Virat Kohli’s fans after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered their first loss in the ongoing IPL 2025. In the 14th game of the ongoing season, Gujarat Titans crushed RCB by eight wickets at their home ground in Bengaluru.

However, it was not Royal Challengers Bangalore’s crushing defeat that made the headlines, but it was Virat Kohli’s that left the fans furious and took the social media handle of Arshad Warsi by storm despite not having any connection with the on-field battle.

When Virat Kohli stepped onto the field at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for RCB’s first home game of the 2025 IPL season, excitement was through the roof. Fans hoped to see their star batter put on a show at his home ground. But things didn’t go as planned.

Kohli’s time at the crease was just disappointing, lasting just six deliveries, as his innings ended with a mere seven runs on the board against the Gujarat Titans. Aiming to give RCB a flying start, Kohli tried to smash the left-arm fast bowler Arshad Khan for a six down the leg side but ended up giving a simple catch to Prasidh Krishna at deep backward square.

Arshad, who stepped in for Kagiso Rabada, who missed the game due to personal reasons, made an immediate impact and probably took his dream wicket, but the real drama began on social media, where fans took out their frustration on Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi.

Now, the bizarre incident became the talk of social media as Warsi was hilariously trolled by the fans on his Instagram handle for dismissing Virat Kohli. His Instagram was flooded with a hilarious mix of threats, taunts, and jokes from disappointed cricket fans. One angry user warned, “I’ll see you,” while another furiously questioned, “Why did you get Kohli out?”

Some fans couldn’t help but reference Warsi’s iconic role as Circuit from Munna Bhai MBBS. One of them quipped, “Hey Circuit, why did you take Kohli’s wicket?” One particularly creative comment took the joke further, threatening to call Munna Bhai himself to “teach you a lesson” for dismissing Kohli.

RCB vs GT IPL 2025 Match Highlight

Speaking about the match, RCB lost four wickets during the powerplay after Virat Kohli’s early dismissal triggered a batting collapse.

Despite the setback, they managed to put up 170 runs on the board, thanks to Liam Livingstone’s gritty half-century (54 off 40) and quick-fire knocks from Jitesh Sharma (33 off 21) and Tim David (32 off 18) against the Titans.

Mohammed Siraj was the star of the match with the ball, claiming three wickets for just 19 runs in his four overs. However, Gujarat Titans made light work of the chase, with Jos Buttler leading the charge with a blistering unbeaten 73 off 39 balls.

Sai Sudharsan (49 off 36) and Sherfane Rutherford (30 off 18) chipped in with valuable runs to seal the game for GT against the RCB.
