The Delhi Capitals pacer’s delivery had some serious heat, and Harshal tried to go for a big shot, but he mistimed it and it soared high to the left of mid-off.

With his eyes locked on the ball, Axar Patel leaped into the air like a superhero to his left, and the crowd erupted in elation as the DC skipper’s sensational grab sealed Harshal’s fate. The Indian all-rounder pulled off an acrobatic effort, flying through the air to pluck the ball out of the air.

Harshal Patel remains IPL’s top wicket-taker since 2021
However, Harshal might have failed to deliver with the bat, but the Indian pacer has been the top wicket-taker in the IPL since 2021, taking 92 wickets in 60 matches. He averages 20.23 per wicket with an economy rate of 8.78, making him a consistent performer with the ball in the IPL.
Earlier, Axar took the crucial catch of Nitish Kumar Reddy to help Mitchell Starc get his second wicket in the third over, sending the local boy for a duck. Starc cleverly changed his pace, delivering a cutter on a fuller length, and Nitish tried to be fancy by shuffling across and then backing away, aiming for a big shot over mid-off.

But the young SRH all-rounder mistimed it completely, sending the ball high in the air toward mid-on. DC captain was right there, as Axar calmly completely took the catch to ensure his team have a great start in the crucial IPL 2025 clash against the SRH in Vishakhapatnam.
DC openers tear apart SRH bowling attack as they eye easy victory
Speaking about the game, DC has been completely dominating the ongoing IPL 2025 clash. After restricting the SRH to 163, Delhi had a terrific start to the chase, as their openers Jake Fraser-McGurk and Faf du Plessis have been tormenting the SRH bowler with their power hitting.
They have already scored 60+ runs in the seven overs without losing a single wicket, and they are aiming to finish the game as soon as possible against the SRH, the runner-up of the last season.
In this season, the Hyderabad batters fail to blaze all the guns like last year, and even bowlers are not looking that confident despite having big names in the side, including captain Pat Cummins and Mohammad Shami.
