India National Cricket Team spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel grabbed a stunning catch near the boundary to end the innings of the explosive Bangladesh National Cricket Team opener Saif Hassan.
Team India locked horns with Team Bangladesh in their second Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium.
Saif Hassan gets numerous lifelines against India
Opener Saif Hassan was the best batter for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the match against India while chasing the target of 169 runs.
He decided to play an aggressive brand of cricket from the very start and launched an attack on the Indian bowling unit. However, Saif Hassan was also lucky as the Indian fielders just couldn't hold onto his catch.
Hassan had a lot of luck in his favor as his four catches were dropped. He became the fourth batter whose four catches were dropped in a T20I match.
Four catches dropped off a batter in a T20I:
Jason Roy vs SL Colombo RPS 2018
Mohd Hafeez vs NZ Hamilton 2020
Pathum Nissanka vs HK Dubai 2025
Saif Hassan vs Ind Dubai 2025
After every dropped catch, Saif Hassan decided to play more aggressively, but his innings was finally brought to an end by the pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah in the 18th over.
On the second ball of the 18th over, Saif Hassan hit a delivery from Jasprit Bumrah towards long-on. It was a skier, and the fans would have expected another dropped catch, but Axar Patel didn't let that happen.
The star all-rounder, who was near the boundary, fumbled on the first attempt, but he ended up taking a stunning catch on the second attempt. Saif Hassan was dismissed for 69 runs off 51 balls, with three fours and 5 sixes.

I got the job done for my team - Abhishek Sharma
Speaking after winning the Player of the Match award, the explosive opener Abhishek Sharma said that he was delighted to get the job done for his team. He elaborated:
"I got the job done for my team, I have told before also, I go with the flow. When it's in my range, I go after the first ball as well and try to get the powerplay for my team. In a few matches, I wanted to go for the first ball because they wanted to get a wicket. This was a fresh wicket, I wanted to have a look, so me and Shubman decided to have a look and then go.
"I always wanted to go with the field, I always l see the field and then go for my shots. I want to play according to the field. I have done a lot of work in the practice sessions, that is a time when the batter gets to play a lot of balls. When you play too many shots in the net, you can get out but I practice and try to not to get out in the nets."
