Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan faced a bizarre dismissal in the match between the Guyana Amazon Warriors and the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
Azam Khan collapsed to the ground while playing a pull shot towards the leg side, but his bat hit the stumps, leading to his dismissal.
The Pakistan cricketer received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the Caribbean Premier League 2024.
Azam was retained by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the CPL 2024. However, he failed to make an impact with the bat in the Amazon Warriors' first match of the season.
The Amazon Warriors bowlers restricted the opposition team to 168/6 after winning the toss. Gudakesh Motie took three wickets for 25 runs in four overs.
Dwaine Pretorius picked up one wicket for 33 runs in his full quota of four overs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Saturday, August 31.
In response, Gudakesh Motie was dismissed for six runs in the first over. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 20 runs off 14 balls before being dismissed by Imad Wasim.
Shimron Hetmyer (19 off 21) was the third batter to be dismissed in the Amazon Warriors' innings, leaving them at 67/3 in 9.4 overs.

Azam Khan came in to bat at No. 5 for the Guyana Amazon Warriors during their chase.
The right-handed batter struggled to score from the start, managing just five runs off his first seven balls. Azam then smashed a boundary off Shamar Springer to inject some momentum into his innings.
Shamar Springer bowled a bouncer after conceding a boundary on the previous delivery. The 26-year-old batter attempted a pull shot but completely missed.
He collapsed on the ground, and his bat hit the stumps. Azam Khan had to depart for the dressing room after scoring nine runs off nine balls.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors lost four wickets for 77 runs in the 12th over of the run chase. However, the Warriors managed a dramatic win in the match.
Romario Shepherd and Dwaine Pretorius made crucial contributions to help the team reach the target on the final ball of the recent match.

Guyana Amazon Warriors captain Imran Tahir expressed satisfaction with the team's performance. Tahir also appreciated the support from the fans and added that the team managed to secure a win despite losing wickets.
"Was a great game. Everyone enjoyed. We showed our character. Any of our teammates can finish the job. I am happy and pleased. We know Romario can hit the ball. We have got Paul and have batting till number 9. Our number 9 came in and hit a six," Tahir said.
"Sheppy was unbelievable. Thanks to the Guyana fans. They are amazing. We were witness to the best atmosphere to play in. Even Sinclair opened in first-class cricket. We had a decent start but kept losing wickets," he added.
