Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Babar Azam has been putting in hard yards ahead of the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The Test series between the teams will be part of the World Test Championship as well.

The Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is all set to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 21st August. After that, it will be time for the second match, which will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi from 30th August.

Ahead of the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, the Pakistan National Cricket Team have regrouped and has started preparing for the games. The Shan Masood-led were seen putting hard yards in the nets, in what will be their first Test series for the first time since January this year.

Going into the series, the prime focus will be on the premier batter Babar Azam. The right-hander will be one of the key factors for the team going into the Test series against Bangladesh. The focus will be on him as a lot would be reliant on him with the bat for the team.

On Thursday (15th August), Azam was seen grinding hard in the nets. The right-hander, however, dealt a nasty blow while batting. In the video that has gone viral on the internet, the Pakistan captain was hit in the box and looked in immense pain. He was down on his knees and took some time to get back on his feet.

Babar Azam will be under the pump going into the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The right-hander has faced a lot of criticism of late because of his leadership in the white-ball format along with his poor performances with the bat in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Under the leadership of Babar, the Pakistan National Cricket Team faced an early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. They faced losses against the United States of America and India, failing to cut into the Super 8 stage of the tournament. His leadership also came under scanner, especially after he was reappointed ahead of the tournament.

In the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team, Babar will be playing under the leadership of Shan Masood. The Test series also will be a great opportunity for the right-hander to silence all his critics, especially for his poor form in Tests.

Babar Azam hasn't registered a single fifty in the longest format of the game since 2022. In the 10 innings that he played last year, he scored just 204 runs and also failed terribly in the Test series against Australia where he scored 103 runs at an average of 20.60 with a top score of 41 to his name. He would be hoping to turn things around as the new season gets underway soon.
