KL Rahul, along with Ravindra Jadeja (77), frustrated Australia as their prime focus was to go past the follow-on score. The duo added 67 runs together, and with the way they were batting, it was almost certain that India National Cricket Team would avoid follow-on.
But in a dramatic turn of events, Australia made a strong comeback and all the main batters were back in the hut. With India 9 down, it was almost expected that the India National Cricket Team would be given follow-on, and they would have to bat again.
Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah help India avoid follow-on
However, Akash Deep joined hands with Jasprit Bumrah and did something that not many expected. The pace bowling duo came up with a sensational batting effort as they slowly chipped in and went past the follow-on score, allowing their batters to take a sigh of relief.
Akash Deep, in particular, was spot-on with his batting. The pacer put in hard yards and made sure that he didn't play any wild hots. He showed great grit and determination and took India past the follow-on in style, slamming the boundary off Pat Cummins.
After the pressure was over and the India National Cricket Team went past the 245-run mark, Akash Deep decided to have some fun. The fast bowler slammed a gigantic six against Pat Cummins on the very next ball to apply salt to the wounds of the Australia National Cricket Team.

Thanks to Akash's brilliant effort with the bat, the India National Cricket Team most likely saved the match, which seemed to be going towards Australia. The match now seems to be heading towards a draw, and it will be a great confidence booster for the team going into the last two games.
