Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been spotted hurling abuses at the Indian wicket-keeper Sanju Samson in the very first over of the anticipated contest between India and Pakistan.
The Indian team is playing against their rivals, Pakistan, for the second time in this Asia Cup, and the players seem to be under immense pressure themselves. The two teams have shared the recent history of a controversial snub of sportsmanship in the previous game, and Pakistan is looking forward to avenging that humiliation.
Watch: Hardik Pandya hurls abuses at Sanju Samson
As Hardik Pandya once again took the new ball up for India, he produced some stunning chances for the Indian team. In his very first over, Hardik had almost drawn the first blood for the Men in Blue; however, he seemed frustrated by the missed opportunity from Abhishek Sharma, which provided the batter with a lifeline.
The very next ball, when Sahibzada Farhan pushed a ball to the outfield, Sanju Samson was seen collecting the ball far away from the stumps. Pandya looked visibly frustrated with the effort and asked the gloveman to approach the stumps in search of a run-out opportunity.
While saying this, the all-rounder can be seen abusing the wicket-keeper, which shows the amount of pressure on the players that has been mounted due to the opportunities.

Hardik Pandya provided the first wicket breakthrough for India
India was dominated by the Pakistani openers Sahibzada Farhan and the experienced batter Fakhar Zaman. Especially, Zaman dominated the Indian bowlers, hitting Bumrah and Pandya off to the fence.
However, after being smashed to the fence by Fakhar, Hardik reverted with a stunning ball that shaped away from the Pakistani opener. The left-handed batter could do nothing more than just edge it back to the wicket-keeper.
Sanju Samson took a good catch on the ball that was dipping low right in front of him, but he somehow managed to put his fingers under the ball. This marked a relief for the Indian bowlers.
Sahibzada Farhan was dropped again by Kuldeep Yadav; Pakistan dominated with aggressive cricket after repeated drops
The Pakistan opener is having the best match in this Asia Cup 2025, as he has smashed Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel for sixes to reach his maiden Asia Cup fifty. The batter was dropped twice, once by Abhishek Sharma and then by Kuldeep Yadav, which led him to take charge of the Pakistan innings.
He reached his half-century within 34 balls and celebrated it in some style as he pointed his bat towards the crowd in the form of a rocket launcher. After his fifty and a staggering partnership with Saim Ayub, Abhishek Sharma took a blinder of a catch to dismiss the left-hander, who top-edged a ball from Shivam Dube.
Pakistan has continued to attack until Shivam Dube brought the second huge breakthrough in the form of Sahibzada Farhan's wicket.
