Stokes has been with the England National Cricket Team squad for the ongoing Test against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams, currently in its third day, is taking place at Old Trafford in Manchester.

On Day 3 of the ongoing between the England National Cricket Team and the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team, there were two Ben Stokes. The hosts' Test captain's doppelganger appeared in the stands, creating quite a buzz and even catching the eye of the all-rounder in the team’s dugout in Manchester.

The cameras in the stadium spotted a doppelganger of Stokes. Noticing the spotlight on him, he raised his arms and received a thumbs-up from England's captain in acknowledgment.

After that, the lookalike took off his black jacket and flaunted Stokes' England Test jersey with 'Stokesy' and no. 55 written on it.

Here's the video.

This was, however, not the first time when the doppelganger of Ben Stokes was spotted in the stands. He even made his presence felt during England's recently concluded series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. He was present during the Day 4 of the second Test.

During that moment, England captain Stokes was also stunned. The all-rounder and coach Paul Collingwood burst into laughter as Stokes first smiled and then made a funny face using his hands. This time around too, he entertained the crowd.

Ben Stokes ruled out of the entire English Test summer after facing a hamstring injury in the Hundred 2024

Meanwhile, Stokes has been ruled out of the entire Test summer. This came after the England National Cricket Team skipper sustained the injury playing in the Hundred for Northern Superchargers against Manchester Originals. He clutched his hamstring while trying to take the quick single.

Stokes underwent scans and was subsequently ruled out for the entire English summer. He played a decent role for the team in the last Test series against the West Indies National Cricket Team as he chipped in with bat and ball and helped the team complete the 3-0 whitewash.

In the absence of Ben Stokes, the England National Cricket Team appointed Ollie Pope as Test captain of the team for the series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

The hosts under his leadership are having a great time in the game and are looking like favorites to win the match. They have bowled and batted tremendously well as they first bundled out the opposition for 236 runs and then posted 358 runs in reply. In the second innings, they picked 5 quick wickets.
