Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t put a foot wrong in the ongoing first Test against England. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, which is host to an exciting game.

England have put up a great fight in the second innings in Hyderabad. They have batted aggressively and have put India under pressure. However, the bowlers are slowly bringing the hosts back in the game and one vital contribution came from Ravindra Jadeja.

Ravindra Jadeja sent Jonny Bairstow packing and it was a crucial blow for India. The batter was looking extremely good and looked solid at the cease. But his stay at the crease was cut short by the brilliance of India’s MVP in Jadeja.

During the 4th ball of the 28th over, Ravindra Jadeja bowled an arm ball to which Jonny Bairstow got half-a-stride forward. He didn’t cover the off-stump and thought that the ball would spin away. However, the ball kept coming in and crashed into the off-stump.

Ravindra Jadeja outfoxed Jonny Bairstow with the previous ball itself. That ball turned away sharply and the batter felt that the next one would turn as. The England batter was extremely shocked as the bails lit up and the India all-rounder was off his celebration.

Here’s the video:

Jonny Bairstow ended with the knock of 10 runs in 24 balls. He played well during his short stay and it seemed he would go and play big innings. His wicket saw England lose their 4th wicket for just 140 runs in their first innings deficit of 190 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja has looked threatening with the ball in the ongoing innings. He bowled tough lines and lengths and has troubled England batters. He would be hoping to pick a few more wickets and put his team in the winning position in Hyderabad.

Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial innings of 87 runs with the bat

Ravindra Jadeja oozed his class with the bat as well in the ongoing game. He was one of the main reasons behind India taking a massive lead of 190 runs in the first innings. Batting at No. 6, the all-rounder had complete control over his innings.

Ravindra Jadeja frustrated England bowlers for a long time and along with defending well, he made sure that he scored runs as well. The batter slammed his 20th half-century in the Tests and made sure that India ended Day 2 of the ongoing game on high.

Ravindra Jadeja got out in the first session of the Day 3. Till the time he got out, he looked assured at the crease. He was trapped in lbw by Joe Root but his dismissal sparked a bit of controversy because the ball had touched the bat at the same time while hitting pads.

Ravindra Jadeja ended with the knock of 87 runs off 180 balls. He slammed 7 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His knock came at a crucial time when India lost wickets of set batters and were yet to surpass England’s total of 246.
