Adelaide Strikers player Cameron Boyce is having a decent game with the ball in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 match against Melbourne Stars. The match between the teams is taking place at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on Friday (20th December).
Cameron Boyce has been keeping his team in the hunt while defending the target of 166 runs. The spinner has bowled tight lines and lengths and is making sure that he puts pressure on the opposition with his bowling. He also picked a crucial wicket with the ball.

However, during his spell, he also had a hilarious moment on the field as he almost hit Melbourne Stars batter Sam Harper with the stump. It was during his last ball of his third over when he was bowling to Hilton Cartwright in what was the 11th over of the innings.
Cameron Boyce bowled a low full toss outside off, to which Hilton Cartwright went too hard and ended up slogging it off the inside half straight onto the stumps at the bowling end. Sam Harper, who was at the non-striker's end, took two steps out, and the bowler attempted to run him out.
Cameron Boyce tried to uproot one stump with the ball in his hand, but Sam Harper was well in. However, in the middle of things, the Melbourne Stars batter was about to get hit with the stump as the Adelaide Strikers bowler produced a hilarious moment.

Sam Harper played a vital innings with the bat for his team but failed to take his team home
Sam Harper played a vital innings with the bat for his team while opening the batting. The keeper-batter played an innings off 48 runs off 44 balls, batting with a strike rate of around 110, slamming 5 fours and 1 six in his innings. But he couldn't take his team home as Adelaide Strikers won the match.
Cameron Boyce bowled a decent spell as in 4 overs he gave away 31 runs and picked 1 wicket. Along with him, Llyod Pope was the pick of the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 3/21. Matthew Short also picked two wickets as they won the game by 15 runs.
This was the first win for the Adelaide Strikers in the ongoing Big Bash League. They would now be hoping to carry on the confidence. They are currently placed 5th on the points table with one win and one loss under their belt in the tournament.
Llyod Pope, who won the Player of the Match, talked about his spell, saying that he tried to do the basics right, and talked about his chat with Cameron Boyce. He explained:
"Good to get the first one (win) on the board. Everyone chipped in really well on a tough wicket and I think D Arcy batted really well. Just tried to do the basics right and that is what Boyce and I chat about. Really happy to put a performance on the board in front of the home ground. I am just trying to keep it even (talking about the social media buzz) and take it as it comes."
