In the viral video, the scout revealed that he had recommended a few young and promising players to CSK after witnessing their impressive performances in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab's T20 leagues, but the franchise rejected them and went for veteran players.

The Chennai Super Kings scout revealed that he had suggested the names of young players like Priyansh Arya, Vipraj Nigam, and Aniket Verma, among others, but CSK rejected them, sticking to their usual strategy of relying on experienced players. Instead of the scout’s suggestion, CSK picked Ashwin, Sam Curran, Deepak Hooda, and Rahul Tripathi at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

The scouting member said, “I am a talent scouting member, and I went to watch a few matches of the UP and Punjab leagues. From there, I recommended the names of Priyansh Arya, Vipraj Singh, Swastik Chikara, and Aniket Verma. My job is to give the names to CSK before the auction.”
