New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell who is known for his sheer power-hitting ability, displayed his aggressive style of play yet again during the 2nd T20I against Pakistan in Hamilton’s Seddon Park. This time at the receiving end of one of his powerful strikes for a six was not just pacer Abbas Afridi but also a Cameraman and his very expensive camera which was covering the match outside the boundary rope.
Daryl Mitchell had sent an overpitched delivery by Abbas over long-off fielder Babar Azam who saw the ball smashing into the camera before shaking hands with the cameraman as a gesture of consolation which also created a light-hearted moment amid intense competition between the 2 cricketing giants.

The visitors led by Shaheen Afridi will try to overthrow New Zealand’s dominance on home soil which saw them beat Pakistan by 46 runs in the 1st T2o a couple of days ago in Auckland’s Eden Park. The Men in Green elected to bowl first after winning the toss and it proved to be an expensive decision as the Kiwis posted a target of 226.
Pakistan responded well initially with Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan starting off well before Babar Azam scored the team’s only half-century. However, even if the batters were aggressive in their approach, the home team bowlers kept taking wickets in regular intervals with Tim Southee picking up 4 wickets, Adam Milne and Ben Sears took a brace each while Ish Sodhi took one wicket.
It helped Kane Williamson’s side to kick off the series and begin their preparation for the T20 World Cup later this June in style. In the 2nd T20, which is currently going on in Hamilton, Pakistan have again made the same mistake of bowling first and the Blackcaps have not shied away from punishing them.
Man Of The Match Of 1st T20 Daryl Mitchell Departs for 17
Daryl Mitchell after hitting the camera on long-off, failed to capitalize on the start he got off to and kind of thew his wicket to the same bowler Abbas Afridi. Mitchell had scored a quickfire 61 off 27 and was also adjudged as the Man of the match.
And the way he started off today, it looked as if Daryl Mitchell was on for another MOTM winning knock. However, Abbas Afridi took bowled him out against the run of play. The Right-hander was trying to smack every ball that was coming his way and the young Pakistani pacer showed smartness and pitched the ball in the correct area after being hit for a six.
New Zealand are currently 185/7 after the end of 19th over and they will require a big over to reach the 200-run mark again in this series.
