Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant gave a heartfelt speech on Independence Day on Tuesday (15th August). The southpaw attended the program organised by the JSW foundation and on the occasion he delivered words that inspired many.
Rishabh Pant explained that as a cricketer grows old he stops loving the game because of pressure. But despite all this, he urged the people to not stop enjoying themselves even if they get old.
In a video posted by JSW Foundation chairperson Sangita Jindal, he explained: “Once you keep growing older, you stop loving the game. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of pressure, you want to excel in life and do this and that. But wo enjoyment nahi miss karna hai life mein, (Don’t miss the enjoyment in life)?”

Rishabh Pant also shared a picture from the event with Parth Jindal, who is the owner of Delhi Capitals. He posted the picture on his Instagram account and gave his fans updates about his developments.
Here’s Rishabh Pant’s story:
Rishabh Pant is currently toiling hard at the NCA as he is on the road to recovery after the tragic accident he faced in December 2022. He has been out of the action since then and there have been reports that he will be back in action during the 2024 Test series against England. He also has resumed batting and wicketkeeping in the nets.
BCCI provides a medical update on Rishabh Pant
Recently Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) provided a medical update on the keeper batter Rishabh Pant, saying that he has shown significant progress in his rehabilitation and is currently undergoing a special fitness program.
“Pant has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets. He is currently following a fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running,” read the BCCI update.
There’s no clarity about if Rishabh Pant will be part of the Asia Cup 2023 and the ICC World Cup 2023. With the kind of progress he has shown, it’ll be a real miracle he makes a comeback in the marquee tournament.
