West Indian all-rounder Fabian Allen produced yet another sensational piece of fielding in the fifth T20I against Australia in Gros Islet. Fabian Allen, whose presence of mind helped him take a remarkable catch in the third T20I, was once again in the scheme of things. On this occasion, the left-arm spinner took a one-handed stunner to get rid of Aaron Finch.

Aaron Finch’s dismissal occurred in the tenth over when he wanted to muscle a full toss from Hayden Walsh to the stands. However, the Australian skipper got the timing wrong and Fabian Allen covered plenty of ground to pluck the ball with one hand. Finch’s departure for 34 off 23 balls dented Australia’s chase of 200 and they were not able to find their way back. Eventually, they fell 18 runs short of the home side’s score.

Fabian Allen almost won the fourth T20I for the West Indies:
The 26-year old all-rounder has played a critical role in West Indies’ 4-1 series victory over Australia. Apart from striking in crucial junctures and taking remarkable catches, Allen has also produced fireworks with the bat. He hit a quick-fire 29 in the fourth T20I, including three sixes in a row against Riley Meredith.
But some incredible death bowling from Mitchell Starc helped Australia prevail by four runs. But Allen’s contribution with the bat and ball was minimum in the final game. He managed only a single and gave away 29 runs in three overs without dismissing any batsman. However, his fielding skills have not gone unnoticed.
