South Africa National Cricket Team batter Faf du Plessis defines the phrase "age is just a number". The right-hander came up with a sensational effort in the field during the Qualifier 2 of the Abu Dhabi T10 game between Morrisville Samp Army and Delhi Bulls.
Playing for Morrisville Samp Army, Faf du Plessis came up with the stunner that put his team at the top of the game and sent the Delhi Bulls batter Shadab Khan packing for a two-ball duck on the bowling of Afghan national Amir Hamza.
Shadab Khan, who came to bat at No.3, was at the receiving end of the brilliance by Faf du Plessis. On the second ball that he faced, he tried to play the lofted shot over the covers, and it seemed that the ball would go past the fielder inside the covers. But the former Proteas skipper came up with a stunner.
Du Plessis was running back to stop the ball and saw that he could catch the ball. He leaped up and grabbed the ball with one hand, reflecting his agility and athleticism at the age of 40 years.

Delhi Bulls posted a total of 89 runs on the board
Du Plessis' effort proved to be valiant for his team as Shadab Khan could've proved vital for his team. The bowlers of Morrisville Samp Army were right on the money, too, as they bowled decent lines and lengths and kept taking wickets at regular intervals.
Isuru Udana was the pick of the bowlers for the Morrisville Samp Army. He bowled two overs and returned with the figures of 3/17. Apart from him, Amir Hamza also had a decent outing with the ball, as he picked up two wickets and gave away 22 runs.
The Delhi Bulls didn't have a great outing with the bat. Tim David was the pick of batters as he played an innings of 24 runs off 14 balls. Nikhil Chaudhary also played a valuable hand of 16 runs as they posted a total of 89 runs on the board.
Faf du Plessis didn't have a great outing with the bat, scored 1 run off 3 balls
Du Plessis didn't have a great outing with the bat as he would've wanted. The batter got out for 1 run off 3 balls. But thankfully, his early wicket didn't cost the team, as they came up with a terrific effort with the bat and went on to win the game.
Andries Gous was the top run-getter for the team as he played an innings of 38 runs off 23 balls. Jack Taylor supported him well as he played an unbeaten innings of 23 runs off just 11 balls and took his team to the win as they chased the target in 9.1 overs and 5 wickets in hand.
