Before the start of the ongoing third Test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Australia captain Tim Paine had said there was “tension starting to boil under the surface”. The wicketkeeper-batsman had hinted that the unusual harmony shown by the teams in the first two Tests might disappear in the Sydney Test.
Well, the match has definitely started on such a note as India fast-bowler Mohammed Siraj did not shy away from giving David Warner a fiery send-off after dismissing him cheaply. Warner and debutant Will Pucovski formed a new opening pair for the home side after Joe Burns and Travis Head were dropped as Tim Paine opted to bat after winning the toss.
Warner was making his comeback to action with the Test after missing the first two games as well as the T20I series with a groin injury he had sustained during the second ODI against India.
Here is a clip of the incident:

Meanwhile, rain halted action soon and lunch was taken after just 7.1 overs. At the time of the game being halted, Australia were on 21 for 1 with Pucovski and Marnus Labuschagne in the middle. The four-match series is currently level at 1-1.
