Team India pacers Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Mayank Yadav are sweating it out in the nets in preparation for the upcoming T20I series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the video of the training session ahead of the three-match series against Bangladesh.
After completing a successful 2-0 whitewash in the Test series, the Indian cricket team has started their preparation for the upcoming T20I series. No. 2 T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav will lead the national team against Bangladesh. The first T20I match between India and Bangladesh is not very far away.
Watch: Hardik Pandya and Other Indian Players Work Hard In Nets
Before the first T20I match in Gwalior, the Indian cricket team was seen working hard in the nets. In a recent video released by BCCI on X (formerly known as Twitter), all-rounder Hardik Pandya, along with Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Mayank Yadav, were training hard with the ball in the nets.
"Bring out the speed guns, the pace battery has arrived! ⚡️⚡️" wrote the caption.

Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were members of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup earlier this year in the USA and the West Indies. On the other hand, Harshit Rana and Mayank Yadav are expected to make their international debuts after receiving their call-ups to the national team.
Arshdeep took 13 wickets in three matches for India D in the Duleep Trophy. Mayank made a strong impression during the IPL 2024 with his express-pace bowling while playing for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Rana took 19 wickets in 12 matches in Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) third IPL title win.
Suryakumar Yadav To Lead Team India In Bangladesh T20Is
The opening T20I match will take place at the newly built New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on Sunday, October 6. Delhi and Hyderabad will host the remaining two matches. The Test players were rested from this T20I series to manage their workload before the New Zealand series.
Suryakumar Yadav will captain India in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. The Indian team is coming off a 2-0 whitewash in the Test series. They recently secured a 3-0 series win against Sri Lanka in an away T20I series, under the new leadership of Suryakumar Yadav and Gautam Gambhir.
Before Gambhir's appointment, Hardik Pandya was among the contenders to lead India in T20Is. However, things don't seem in the right place for Hardik Pandya after Gambhir's arrival as he has been removed as the vice-captain too.
Mayank Yadav Likely To Make His Debut For Team India
The Indian selectors have announced a relatively new-look squad for the series. Mayank Yadav is set to make his debut for the national team, while Varun Chakravarthy returns to the squad after nearly three years. The young pace bowling attack picked by the Indian selectors is promising and exciting.
India has a good record over Bangladesh in T20I cricket, with a 13-1 win-loss record. Their only loss came during the first match of a three-match series in 2019. The head-to-head record is 3-1 in India's favor as far as T20Is in India. Bangladesh will be eager to improve their record in the upcoming series.
