Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Haris Rauf pulled off a rare yet funny celebration in the third and series-deciding T20I match against the West Indies on Sunday, August 3, at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

Haris Rauf celebrated Jewel Andrew’s wicket in an unexpected fashion that has now gone viral across social media. The West Indies batter was looking dangerous with 24 runs off just 15 balls after he survived a dropped catch, but his luck ran out on the very next ball.

In the fifth over of the West Indies’ innings, Rauf bowled at a sharp pace of 138.4 km/h, banging the ball short into the pitch. The delivery bounced more than Jewel Andrew expected, catching him off guard. He mistimed the shot completely while trying to pull it quickly, with the ball hitting high on the bat.

Hasan Ali, who was stationed at mid-on, judged the ball perfectly. The Pakistani pacer ran back and to his right, kept his eyes locked on the ball, and took a fabulous catch under pressure. After proving the much-needed breakthrough to Pakistan, Haris Rauf made sure to celebrate in style as Andrew walked back for 24 runs off 15 balls, hitting 3 boundaries in the final T20I.

Haris Rauf broke into a quirky dance jig instead of his usual roar or fist pump that delighted fans and teammates and instantly went viral across social media platforms. Rauf’s light-hearted and energetic "Aura Farming" celebration dance truly stole the spotlight in Florida.

Pakistan seal a 2-1 T20I series as West Indies collapse after flying start

Meanwhile, chasing a modest target of 109 runs, the West Indies got off to a flying start with Alick Athanaze (60 runs off 40 balls) taking the attack to Pakistan's bowlers during the powerplay. Along with Jewel Andrew (24), the duo helped the team race to 59/1 in just 6 overs.

Sherfane Rutherford also hammered a brilliant fifty, but they yet again failed to fire in the middle overs, and Pakistan’s spinners, especially Sufiyan Muqeem, turned the game around. The young left-arm leg-spinner bowled with tight control and smart variations, finishing with excellent figures of 20/1. His spell slowed down the run flow and put pressure back on the West Indies.

With too much left to do in the final over, the West Indies ended up falling 13 runs short, despite being in control for large parts of the chase against Pakistan in the third and final T20I. They had a big chance to win their first-ever T20I series against Pakistan.

Salman Ali Agha hails Pakistan's "complete team performance"

But once again, the batting in the middle overs let them down. Earlier, Pakistan posted 189 on the board, thanks to brilliant fifties from Sahibzada Farhan (74) and Sai Ayub (66) against the West Indies in the final T20I on Sunday in Florida.

After winning the T20I series 2-1 against the West Indies, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha stated, “I am always smiling. Complete team performance; throughout the series we were very good. We just want to keep improving and keep moving forward. For me, it doesn't matter if we win or lose. Yeah, winning is very important, but as long as we keep improving and keep doing the right things, that's what matters.”
