Hasan Mahmud, on Monday (September 30), castled Yashasvi Jaiswal to end his stunning knock on day four of the ongoing second India vs Bangladesh Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
After Bangladesh's first innings came to an end on 233, India openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma came out all guns blazing. They went for the big shot right from the word go as India raced away to 51 runs in just three overs. The partnership finally came to an end in the fourth over when Mehidy Hasan Miraz castled Rohit.
The India captain departed after scoring 23 runs off 11 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Unlike Rohit, Yashasvi Jaiswal made the most of the start and went on to complete a blazing half-century. The southpaw reached his fifty in the ninth over as he smashed the joint third-fastest Test fifty by an Indian.
He reached the milestone in just 31 deliveries. Yashasvi Jaiswal was looking absolutely unstoppable as he toyed with the Bangladesh bowlers. The youngster was looking destined to score another Test century before Hasan Mahmud sent him back in the 15th over.
In his previous two overs, Mahmud had troubled Jaiswal a bit and was finally rewarded. On the second ball of the 15th over, Jaiswal was clean bowled. It was an angled delivery from Mahmud and Jaiswal had no room to play any attacking shot. He tried to defend the ball but was beaten by the low bounce.
The ball sneaked through before the India opener could bring the bat down. Jaiswal departed after smashing 72 runs from just 51 balls. His knock was studded with 12 fours and two sixes.
