Indian fast bowler Akash Deep is known for his bowling skills. But Akash is also a capable batter and can land a few lusty blows with the bat. When he came to bat in India's first innings at Chennai, he was expected to score some quick runs.

But during the Chennai Test, something else caught the attention apart from his batting and bowling that made Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Gautam Gambhir burst out in laughter in the Indian dressing room.

Akash Deep struck by a poor throw from Hasan Mahmud

Just a few balls before his dismissal, Akash Deep was hit by a wayward throw from Bangladesh quick Hasan Mahmud. Akash was seen clutching his lower back and immediately called for medical attention.

Meanwhile, Hasan Mahmud apologized by walking up to him. Shakib Al Hasan, who was also seen alongside these two, was also seen laughing and enjoying the light moment.

While Akash Deep was being attended by the physios, the Indian dugout also burst into laughter after Virat Kohli spoke about something. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir, and Shubman Gill were all sitting together and sharing a laugh.

Akash Deep smashed two effortless boundaries on both sides of the wicket off the fast bowler Hasan Mahmud and showed his batting skills. He was finally dismissed for 17 by Taskin Ahmed for 17 off 30 balls when he tried to play an aggressive shot. The 27-year-old struck 4 fours during his knock.

Meanwhile, this was not the first time when an Indian batter was struck by a wild throw by a Bangladesh fielder in this innings. On Day 1, Rishabh Pant was also struck by a wayward throw and he ended up having an argument with the opposition wicketkeeper Litton Das.

Coming to the match, India posted 376 in the first innings, thanks to a magnificent hundred from Ravichandran Ashwin, and valuable fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja. Hasan Mahmud picked up a five-wicket haul in a brilliant bowling performance.

In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 149. The visitors just could not stand the might of India's fast-bowling attack and surrendered. No Bangladesh batter could score a fifty while Shakib Al Hasan top-scored with 32. For India, Jasprit Bumrah led the way with 4-50 while Siraj, Akash Deep, and Jadeja picked up two wickets each.
