KL Rahul recently uploaded a video on his social media where he was seen training for the upcoming series against South Africa. He was seen doing some intense running drills and batting practice in the video and had a funny banter with Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah. KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain for India’s three-match ODI series against South Africa as Rohit Sharma has been rested for the white-ball leg of the tour.
KL Rahul recently led the India National Cricket Team in a three-match ODI series against Australia right before the commencement of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Now he has been given the responsibility to lead the side in South Africa. He had a terrible outing last time when India toured South Africa as India lost the Test and the ODI series where KL Rahul was given the leadership role.
In the video, Rahul mentions that Jasprit Bumrah will definitely talk about how difficult it is to be a fast bowler, and later Bumrah really does call KL Rahul’s job as a batter easier. Rahul and Bumrah are good friends and always have fun moments like this with each other.

In the video, Rahul could be heard saying, “I guarantee you Bumrah is gonna mention how hard a fast bowler’s life is. I GUARANTEE YOU!!!” After which Bumrah was heard saying, “Your job is easier…to bat, hide behind a bat.”
KL Rahul is a part of both the ODI and the Test squad playing in South Africa whereas Bumrah is only included in the red-ball format. Rahul will lead the young ODI squad for the series and is expected to keep wickets in Test for India.
Jasprit Bumrah will mark his return to red-ball cricket after a long halt, playing his last Test against England in June 2022 where he also led the side. Bumrah has had a brilliant World Cup with the ball and has been in terrific form since his return from injury.
