India National Cricket Team have faced a massive injury scare during the ongoing game against Pakistan National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami walked off the field after feeling some discomfort in his ankle while bowling.

India National Cricket Team have been asked to field first, and they were off to a shaky start, bowling a lot of wides in the start. Mohammed Shami, in particular, looked off rhythm initially, but he didn't take much time to get back to his best with the ball.

Shami found his mojo immediately in the next few over as he started asking questions to batters, causing a few nervous moments for the batters. As he was building some momentum, fortune didn't favor him, as he faced an injury scare in the middle of his bowling.

After the 4th ball of the 5th over, Mohammed seemed to have some pain in his ankle region. He called physios out in the middle and after a brief check, he was back to bowling and completed his over, bowling two good balls.

However, to worsen the case for him, Mohammed Shami then walked off the field in the next over. The pacer then didn't return as Hardik Pandya was forced to take the ball alongside Harshit Rana inside the powerplay.

Mohammed Shami returned to the field after the powerplay, looks sharp in his second spell in India vs Pakistan clash

However, in what was the biggest positive for the India National Cricket Team, Shami returned to the field after the powerplay. He immediately returned to bowl and looked in great rhythm right from the start after coming back, receiving some treatment from physios.

Shami even was bowling with increased spells and was running more smoothly as well. He bowled a two-over spell and looked much sharper in this second spell. It looked that whatever ankle niggle he had, it seemed to have passed.

In the first 5 overs that Shami bowled, the fast bowler gave away just 18 runs. He would be key for his team in the later stage of the match as India would look to restrict the opposition to a low total. With the way he looked in this spell, it's fair to say that he soon will be entering his name in wickets column.
