The 31-year-old Pakistan National Cricket Team off-spinner Sajid Khan troubled the England National Cricket Team batting unit in the second Test of the three-match series at Multan Cricket Stadium.
Sajid made his return to the Test playing XI for the first time since the match against Australia National Cricket Team at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which was held in January 2024.

Sajid was the top performer for Pakistan with the ball on Day 2 as in his 19 overs, he broke the back of the English team and dismissed Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Duckett, and Harry Brook.
He was quite pumped up after picking all four wickets and what caught the attention of everyone was his celebration. On the sixth ball of the 44th over, Sajid Khan bowled a length ball outside off-stump that turned in. Brook backed away while trying to play the ball and saw his stumps getting rattled.
After picking the wicket, Sajid pulled off a Shikhar Dhawan-like celebration, and even the cameraman was seen emulating it. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared the clip of the moment on their official X handle and it went viral quickly. Watch here:

The story behind my celebration is that whenever I play cricket, I perform and get dropped - Sajid Khan
As Sajid Khan's celebration became an instant hit on social media, he was asked about the same during a post-match chat. The spinner revealed a shocking story, saying that he gets dropped whenever he performs well which is why he does that celebration. He elaborated:
“The story behind my celebration is that whenever I play cricket, I perform and get dropped. Everywhere from school cricket, U13 & U16 in Peshawar, I would perform and get dropped. At the start, I was a batsman then I became an off-spinner. I would be the best performer for Peshawar, but I would get dropped.
"So this gave me jazba, and I started these celebrations. I made my comeback in Australia and bowled well in Australia’s home ground. Again, in the next series, I was dropped without any reason.”
You are my dream wicket - Sajid Khan to Joe Root during Day 2
Sajid also made an interesting revelation, saying that he told the England great Joe Root about playing against his brother in England. The Pakistan spinner also revealed Root's reaction when he told the batter that he was his dream wicket. He said:
“As soon as Joe Root came to bat, I told him I’ve played against your brother in England, but you are my dream wicket, so he started laughing. But that was my dream and most prized wicket today.”
At stumps on Day 2, England were at 239/6 and were still trailing by 127 runs. They would be aiming to get as close as possible to Pakistan's total because the pitch has started to deteriorate more.
