After the loss in the ICC World Cup 2023, Rahul Dravid was given an extension till the T20 World Cup 2024 and he made sure he made a major impact in his one final dance as the coach of the team. The head coach changed the entire structure of the team and instilled the belief in the players that they can do it.

In the T20 World Cup 2024, India Team under Rahul Dravid was extremely sensational and dominating with bat and ball. They remained undefeated and became the first team in the history of the tournament to win the event without even losing a single game.

India beat Pakistan in the league stage, Australia in the Super 8s, and England in the semi-finals to book their berth for the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. And when it mattered the most, the entire team came up with a collective effort and won the game from the jaws of defeat.

Opting to bat, on account of contributions from Virat Kohli (76), Axar Patel (47) and Shivam Dube (27) India posted a total of 176 runs on the board. In the defense, they were under pressure as Quinton de Kock (39) and Tristan Stubbs (31) first put India under pressure but it was Heinrich Klaasen (51), who gave a real scare to the Indian team. But Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Arshdeep Singh combined to snatch the victory from the jaws of defeat.
