Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed’s admiration for Indian cricket star Virat Kohli is well known. Time and again, he has expressed his love for the former India captain, stating that the right-handed batsman is his favorite cricketer.

Last year, he attended the World Test Championship final in London to watch Virat Kohli in action as India faced Australia. Despite his presence, the YouTuber couldn’t meet the cricket star. In 2023, he visited India during the World Cup and was spotted in the stands passionately cheering for India during their high-voltage clash against Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

“I am here because of Virat Kohli. I want to see India beat Pakistan in the World Cup match tomorrow! I will be there at the stadium. I don’t follow cricket back home, but I follow Kohli. I want to meet him, and I am also excited to meet the Tunak Tunak guy (Daler Mehndi), I am just very excited bruh!” he had told the Hindustan Times at that time.

IShowSpeed once again expressed his love and admiration for Kohli by introducing him to football legend and icon Ronaldo. The YouTuber recently went to Brazil and managed to meet the World Cup winner. While interacting with him, he brought up Kohli’s name. Here’s how the interaction went:

IShowSpeed: “Do you know Virat Kohli?”

Ronaldo: “Who?”

Speed: “Virat Kohli, from India.”

Ronaldo: “No.”

Speed: “You don’t know Virat Kohli!”

Ronaldo: “What is he? A player?”

Speed: “He is a cricket player.”

Ronaldo: “He is not very popular in here.”

Speed: “Yeah, yeah. he is like the best. He is like Babar Azam. You have never seen this dude?”

And when Speed showed Kohli’s photo to Ronaldo, the former footballer said: “Yeah.”

Kohli is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen of all time, especially in white-ball cricket. Last year, he equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most centuries in ODIs when he scored his 50th ODI ton during the World Cup clash against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batsman has scored more than 25000 runs in international cricket with the help of 80 centuries and 139 half-centuries.

He was recently in action during the two-match Test series against South Africa and will be in action again in the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The series will mark his return to T20I cricket. Kohli has not played a T20I for India since the 2022 T20 World Cup.
