Bangladesh National Cricket Team batter Jaker Ali has come up with a magnificent effort with the bat in the ongoing game against India National Cricket Team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The game between the teams is taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

However, with the team under pressure, Jaker Ali joined hands with Towhid Hridoy, and the duo together bailed the Bangladesh National Cricket Team out of trouble. They batted with great control, and along with rotating the strike, they ensured that they hit timely boundaries.
Jaker Ali, in particular, has looked solid with the bat. The right-hander, although, got a chance early on his innings, but after that, he hardly put a foot wrong. The Bangladesh batter tackled the India spinners pretty well, and the way he soaked in pressure was impressive.
Jaker Ali slowly raced away to the half-century and helped the Bangladesh National Cricket Team go past 100 runs, which at one moment looked impossible. He got to his half-century in the 36th over when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling.
Jaker glanced the ball for a double and brought up his second half-century. What caught the attention of many was his celebration after reaching the milestone. The Bangladesh National Cricket Team batter came up with the Pushpa celebration and invited huge cheers from fans.

Jaker, along with Towhid Hridoy, who also slammed a half-century, batted more than 200 balls and added 154 runs for the sixth wicket, which is the highest for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team against the India National Cricket Team in the ODI cricket.
Jaker got out after playing an innings of 64 runs off 114 balls. The middle-order batter batted with a strike rate of around 60 and also slammed 4 boundaries during his knock, putting India under pressure.
Jaker was removed by Mohammed Shami, who took his 200th wicket in the ODIs. The batter attempted to hit the big shot but ended up hitting it from the toe-end and it went very high. Virat Kohli kept his eyes on the ball, settled under it nicely, and pouched it clean. The onus now will be on Towhid to take his team to the fighting total and allow his bowlers to put pressure on India.
