England premier pacer James Anderson has returned to action ahead of his final Test in international cricket. The veteran pacer bowled sensationally well for the Lancashire against Nottinghamshire, in what was his first game after March 2024.

James Anderson looked in sensational rhythm and bowled impeccable lines and lengths. The fast bowler troubled the batters big time with his swing bowling and put his team at the top. The pacer, who was playing his first Test this summer, made sure that he set the stage on fire.

James Anderson was on song in the morning session as he returned with the figures of 6-19 as he ripped through the Nottingham batting line-up. His sensational spell saw Lancashire restricting opposition to the 74/6 at the Trafalgar Road Ground in Southport.

James Anderson bagged the 55th five-wicket haul of his first-class career and moved his overall tally of first-class wickets to 1,120. The fast bowler has geared up sensationally well for the last Test match, which will be played at the Lord's Cricket Ground against West Indies on 10th July.

James Anderson ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 announced his retirement from Test cricket. It's fair to say that the fast bowler was forced to make the call after the India tour as he expressed his desire to play for a few more years for the team.

Head coach Brendon McCullum traveled all the way from New Zealand to speak to James Anderson about his retirement. The pacer was informed that the team is looking to build up for the future and hence the fast bowler should announce his retirement.

James Anderson arguably is the best pacer in the history of Test cricket. He has 700 wickets to his name from 187 matches that he has played for England. He is just 9 wickets away from Shane Warne's tally of 708 wickets and becoming the second leading wicket-taker in the longest format of the game.

After the Lord's Test, Jimmy will continue in our set-up, and he'll help a bit more as a mentor - Rob Key

ECB Director of Cricket Rob Key recently made a bombshell announcement. He said that James Anderson will be taking up the role of the fast bowling mentor in the team after his retirement from international cricket. The governing body is keen to have him around the group.

James Anderson would be eager to end his career on high. The Test series between the England National Cricket Team and the West Indies National Cricket Team will be played from 10th July. The fast bowler would be eager to surpass Shane Warne and end his career on high.
