Before the serious Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals clash of IPL 2021 on Thursday, opponents Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Gopal engaged in a funny incident. RR’s spinner Shreyas Gopal and MI’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah were seen imitating each other’s bowling actions during the warm-up sessions at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the match.

While Jasprit Bumrah was part of Mumbai Indians’ playing XI, Shreyas Gopal was benched for the match. Batting first, Rajasthan scored 171-4 in 20 overs. Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson scored crucial knocks of 41 and 42 respectively. Mumbai Indians easily chased down the target in 18.3 overs with a 70-run knock by opener Quinton de Kock.

Jasprit Bumrah And Shreyas Gopal Imitate Each Other’s Bowling Actions

A video was shared on the official Twitter handle of the Indian Premier League, in which Shreyas Gopal and Jasprit Bumrah were seen enacting each other’s bowling actions before the start of the match. At first, Gopal tried to enact Bumrah’s run-up. Later, the MI pacer did a casual imitation of Gopal’s bowling action. Have a look at the hilarious video below.

This is not the first time that Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Gopal have been seen imitating the actions of other bowlers. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had shared a video in which Gopal was seen imitating bowling actions of Bumrah, Harbhajan Singh, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

On the other hand, Bumrah was seen imitating the bowling actions of six different bowlers during last year’s IPL. Bumrah had imitated the actions of bowlers like Munaf Patel, Glenn McGrath, Mitchell Starc, Kedar Jadhav, Anil Kumble, and Shreyas Gopal.

Right-arm pacer Bumrah showed an incredible bowling performance against Rajasthan Royals. He took only 1 wicket but conceded only 15 runs in his 4 overs. After the victory, Mumbai Indians are placed on the 4th spot in the IPL 2021 points table.

The Rohit Sharma-led side has won 3 games out of 6. Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings in their next match. The match is scheduled to be played on May 1 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. On the other hand, Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals are placed on the 7th spot in IPL 2021 points table with 2 wins in 6 games.
