India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah suffered an injury scare during the last session of Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. During the 75th over of Australia's first innings on the first day, Alex Carey punched a ball from Mohammed Siraj to the mid-on's right.
Jasprit Bumrah got to the ball but misfielded to allow both Alex Carey and Steve Smith an extra run. India captain Rohit Sharma was disappointed with the effort but Bumrah's potential injury concern was a bigger worry for India at that point.
It looked like the pacer faced some issues on his sides as Bumrah did some stretching and at the end of the over. He received some treatment from India's physio on his calf as the drinks break was called upon. He quickly went off the field as it seemed like he was facing cramps due to the intense heat in Melbourne.
