India National Cricket Team pacer Jasprit Bumrah and his bowling partner Mohammed Siraj looked in threatening form during Day 2 of the match simulation ahead of the first Test against Australia. The series opener between the teams will be taking place at the Optus Stadium in Perth from 22nd November.

India National Cricket Team are putting in the hard yards ahead of the first Test. The team have been involved in the match simulation for the last few days and are making sure that they leave no stone unturned in their preparations for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj bowled in full throttle

On Day 2 of the match simulation, fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj stole the limelight. The duo bowled impeccable lines and lengths and troubled the Indian batters, testing them on both inside as well as outside edge on a wicket that offered pace and bounce.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, who are expected to play the first Test, bowled in full throttle. The former tested Abhimanyu Easwaran and Devdutt Padikkal's temperament with the new ball, removing the right-hander and hitting the left-hander on pads.

Siraj, on the other hand, looked in great rhythm and seemed to have gained some confidence after an underwhelming home Test season. He has a great record in Australian conditions and would be keen to continue that and help his team win the game.

While Abhimanyu Easwaran failed yet again, it was Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who impressed most with the bat. The spotlight was also stolen by pacer Harshit Rana, who used the short ball ploy to a good extent and troubled the Indian batters.

Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal also was seen roiling his arm. Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir kept a close eye on the players. All would be dependant on him as to whom will he pick in the XI for the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team in Perth.

The highlights of the entire day 2 of the match simulation of the India National Cricket Team were put by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their social media.

Here's the post:

Jasprit Bumrah will be captaining the team in the Perth Test in the absence of Rohit Sharma

India are likely to be without the services of Rohit Sharma in the first Test. The skipper and his wife were recently blessed with their second child and, hence, Rohit expected to join the team ahead of the second game. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah will be captaining the team in the Perth Test.

The pacer is the vice-captain of the team and would be hoping to make an instant impact on the team. He captained the team only once in his career but the result didn't go in his favor. He would want to help the team take an early lead in the series.
