India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has shared a heartwarming yet appreciation post for fans as he summed up his feelings of being an ICC T20 World Cup 2024 winner in a short clip with a twist.

After returning to Ahmedabad following grand celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai, Bumrah got some time to reflect back on the most precious times of his career so far.

Taking to social media, Bumrah expressed his immense gratitude for the unforgettable reception he and his Indian cricket team teammates received after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies.

In his heartfelt post, Bumrah said that he has been “living a dream” for the past few days. Bumrah shared a 42-second clip on his social media handles, featuring the memorable moments from receiving a grand welcome at the Delhi Airport to the stupendous crowd celebrating India’s T20 World Cup 2024 during the victory parade.

The clip also included some incredible moments from the India team’s celebration at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The most heartwarming part of this viral post is that Bumrah used the voice of the modern-era legend Virat Kohli in the background from their facilitation ceremony.

It was certainly a great way to show Bumrah his admiration for Kohli while expressing his emotions about getting much love from the fans. During his speech at the Wankhede Stadium, Kohli called Bumrah a “once in a generation."

The right-handed batter had added, “What I would like everyone to do is to applaud a guy who brought us back into games again, and again, and again. It was phenomenal. He is a once-in-a generation bowler. I am so glad he plays for us.” These words are playing in the background of Bumrah’s video.

Sharing the heartwarming clip on X, Bumrah wrote in the caption: “I am so thankful for the last few days. I’ve been living a dream and it has filled me with happiness and gratitude.🇮🇳💙”

Notably, Bumrah played a key role in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win, taking 15 wickets to help the team win their second T20 World Cup title and their first in 17 years. Bumrah was named Player of the Tournament for his stellar performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies.

Bumrah also received a grand welcome upon arriving in his hometown, Ahmedabad. He also presented his T20 World Cup 2024 winner’s medal and Player of the Tournament award to his mother, Daljit, and shared the post on Instagram.

Notably, Bumrah became only the second Indian to win the prestigious Player of the Tournament award after Kohli, who achieved this honor twice in consecutive editions in 2014 and 2016. Kohli retired from T20I cricket after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29.

Apart from Kohli, Jadeja and Rohit Sharma also announced their retirement from T20I after the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph in Barbados. They will now be playing only ODI and Test cricket for Team India. They will all be seen in action in the ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour in August 2024.
