Ben Stokes and Brydon Carse bamboozled by Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah
Spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar has looked in a dominating form on the fourth day of the Lord's and made life hell for the English batters.
Sundar picked up two of the biggest wickets of the match when he dismissed the modern-day batting great Joe Root and England's leading run-getter in Anderson-Tendulkar 2025 - Jamie Smith.
Washington Sundar was not satisfied with just two wickets and went on to get yet another major breakthrough for his team by demolishing the stumps of the England skipper Ben Stokes.
On the third ball of the 55th over, Sundar bowled a stunning full-length delivery from round the wicket that drifted in, and Ben Stokes went for a sweep.
However, the ball sneaked under the bat of Ben Stokes and shattered the stumps of the England captain, sending him back to the hut for 33 runs off 96 balls.
It was the third consecutive time in the ongoing series that Ben Stokes had registered the score of 33 in the second innings - 33 (Headingley), 33 (Edgbaston), and 33 (Lord's).
Meanwhile, in the very next over, Jasprit Bumrah further jolted England by dismissing Brydon Carse. On the first ball of the over, Bumrah bowled an unplayable yorker to Brydon Carse, who had no answers to it.
Indian pace spearhead bowled a high pace yorker aimed at the base of the stumps, and Carse was slightly late to get the bat down and saw his stumps getting rattled at the score of 1.

This was a little bit fuller and quicker and Ben Stokes was done by it - Phil Tufnell
Speaking on BBC Test Match Special, the England spinner Phil Tufnell spoke about the dismissals of Ben Stokes and Brydon Carse.
"I don't want to say I told you so but I told you so. Washington Sundar has that ability to get under your bat, and this was a little bit fuller and quicker, and Ben Stokes was done by it," he said.
"Corker of a yorker, quick, full and straight. 182 is the lead but that is not enough for my money," Phil Tufnell added.
Meanwhile, former England captain Michael Atherton, while speaking on Sky Sports, lauded Washington Sundar for dismissing Ben Stokes. He said:
"This is a big, big moment in the game, and Washington on either side of the tea, is turning things around for India."
