India National Cricket Team pacer Jasprit Bumrah has put himself in a different league altogether. Even after being young in his career, the right-arm pacer is already touted as the best fast bowler who has played for Team India.

Ever since Jasprit Bumrah made his debut for the Indian team, he has been the backbone of the howling lineup. The fast bowler has been performing equally well for the team in all three formats, taking wickets at important times and taking his team to win.

Jasprit Bumrah recently oozed his class with the ball in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024. The fast bowler was one of the main reasons behind the win of the India National cricket team in the tournament as he brought back his team from impossible situations and helped them win.

Bumrah made an impact in the T20 World Cup World Cup 2024 right from the start as he won two back-to-back Player of the Matches against Ireland and Pakistan. He was sensational for his team both with the new ball as well as the death.

Jasprit Bumrah continued his good form throughout the tournament, and even in the final, he looked class apart. He won the Player of the Tournament for his 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and helped his team end the title drought and win the first-ever ICC title after 2013.

The impact of Jasprit Bumrah has been such that every youngster in India tries to copy his actions. The fast bowler is known for his unorthodox action, and not only the kids but even many players too have attempted to emulate him as his short run-up action has always been in the headlines.

On Saturday (17th August), a video went viral on the internet in which a young girl emulated his bowling action to perfection. She mimicked the pacer’s bowling action while bowling in the nets with many applauding her for her efforts.

Here’s the video:

Jasprit Bumrah is to be next seen in action during the New Zealand Test series in October; likely to be rested for the Bangladesh Tests and T20I series

Jasprit Bumrah was last seen in action during the T20 World Cup 2024, and since then, he hasn’t played a single game for the team. The fast bowler was rested for the white-ball tour against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

Bumrah also hasn’t been named in any of the squads for the Duleep Trophy. The pacer reportedly will be rested for the Test series against Bangladesh. He is likely to return for the upcoming three-Test series against New Zealand, which is set to commence on October 16.

The fast bowler will have to play a major role in the Tests against New Zealand. After that India will be travelling to Australia for the five-match Test series. For India to register their third straight win down under, Bumrah will have to bring his best and help the team win.
