After KL Rahul was dismissed, having scored his 11th Test hundred, Dhruv Jurel, alongside all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, took command of the Indian innings on Day 2 of the first Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
The batter missed a flick in the 79th over of the game, as West Indies appealed and then went for a review. He was hit on the front pad, so Jayden Seales seemed interested; however, the ball tracking confirms the umpire was right, as the ball was sliding down the leg.
On the next delivery, Jayden Seales seemed to be oozing fire at the Indian cricketer and also glared at him and fired some words; however, Jurel didn't give in to this unnecessary aggression as he waved off the situation with a broad smile on his face.

KL Rahul and Shubman Gill hand India a splendid start on Day 2
Indian opening batter KL Rahul had reached his half century yesterday during the ending minutes of Day 1. However, alongside Shubman Gill he went on to add further crucial runs for his team.
Contributing to a massive partnership, Shubman Gill the Indian Test skipper scored a fifty only to be dismissed right after by the opponent skipper. Rahul on the other hand showed his composure as he built onto another partnership alongside Dhruv Jurel.
KL scored his 11th Test hundred and the second under sub-continent conditions. With these innings he is further consolidating his spot as India's red-ball opener leaving no room for any player to surpass his brilliance.
Dhruv Jurel makes most of the oppurtunity with second Test fifty in Rishabh Pant's absence
The left-hanred wicket keeper batter Rishabh Pant missed the home Test series since his return from the injury faced during the India tour of England has been delayed by over some weeks. He is likely to return in the next home Test series against South Africa.
However, Dhruv Jurel the man who substituted Pant on several of occassions in the England tour had received a massive oppurtunity as he was picked as the first choice wicket-keeper.
Jurel has been showing some sheer determination to retain his spot in the team, as he has grabbed this oppurtunity with open arms. He leapt and dived and caught almost everything that came behind the wickets. He further continued his dominance with the bat having got to his second Test half-century.
