Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Jitesh Sharma might be a big name in India, but it did not earn him a free pass at Lord's during the recently concluded third Test between India and England.
The wicketkeeper-batsman found himself in an embarrassing situation outside the stadium before he was rescued by RCB mentor Dinesh Karthik.
Jitesh was denied entry at the Lord's
Having arrived at the iconic venue in London, Jitesh Sharma was stopped at the entry gate by security personnel. While the exact reason for it is not known, it appeared that he either did not have the required ticket or some other clearance issue cropped up.
Whatever the reason, the security personnel were in no mood to let Jitesh Sharma enter the stadium. With the situation getting awkward, Jitesh Sharma repeatedly explained his identity, but the security guard remained unmoved.
As a result, the RCB star was left waiting outside with a big crowd. Soon, he spotted Karthik, who is plying his trade as a commentator in the ongoing series. Hoping for help, Jitesh started calling out to Karthik, but the latter did not hear. Jitesh then made a phone call to Karthik, who then returned and sorted out the issue.
