Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal was left red-faced after a Pakistani actress shared her views on the cricket players.
The former wicketkeeper-batsman appeared on a television show and was accompanied by the actress. The host of the show asked the actress to complete a sentence. The sentence was: “Jyadatar cricketers _ hote hain (Most of the cricketers are _).”
The actress was asked to fill in the blank in the sentence. She looked hesitant before Kamran Akmal told her to say whatever was coming to her mind. And it did not take him long to realize his mistake as the smile on his face completely disappeared after the actress said: “Tharki” which means pervert.

Kamran Akmal represented Pakistan in all three formats of the game between 2002 and 2017. He played 53 Tests, 157 ODIs, and 58 T20Is for his national team and scored over 6000 runs in international cricket with the help of 11 centuries and 27 half-centuries.
Kamran Akmal on Iyer – Kishan controversy:
Kamran Akmal recently shared his views on BCCI’s decision to not give central contracts to Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan. The BCCI recently announced the list of centrally contracted players and also stated that neither Iyer nor Kishan were considered for the central contracts.
Both the players lost their central contracts for ignoring BCCI’s directive to play in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. While the board has been criticized by many for the decision, Kamran Akmal backed BCCI’s decision. He stated that the move would send out the right message to the players that no one is bigger than the game.
“Shreyas Iyer played the first two Tests of the series. If you don’t value the cricket because of which you made it to the national team, what message is it going to give to all the youngsters?” said Kamran Akmal on his YouTube Channel.
“BCCI has made the right call, taking such strict action early on to control the damage. If they had given them a levy and handed them central contracts, a lot more players would have started playing on their own terms in the future.
“India have given a message to their players to ensure that nobody even thinks of doing something like this the next time. This is proof of good management. Nobody is bigger than the game,” he added.
Both Iyer and Kishan will be returning to high-profile cricket later this month when IPL 2024 gets underway. While Kishan will be playing for Mumbai Indians, Iyer will be leading Kolkata Knight Riders in the seventeenth edition of the IPL.
The much-awaited competition is scheduled to be played from March 22. Reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be up against each other in the tournament opener.
