Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara was absolutely shocked on the morning of Day 3 as South African player, Keegan Petersen, pulled off a one-handed blinder on the second ball of the day.

Resuming overnight on 57/2, Pujara and Virat Kohli had to shoulder the responsibility of taking India to a good total. However, the former couldn’t even start his work as he was dismissed by Marco Jansen.

On the second ball, Pujara tried to fend an awkward short ball that was aimed at his chest. He ended up gloving the ball and it flew towards the right of Petersen standing at leg slip.

It seemed as though the ball had gone past Petersen but the youngster put in a full-length dive and grabbed the ball behind him with his right hand. Both Kohli and Pujara were quite stunned as they looked on and it was the perfect start to the day for the South Africans.

The wicket was exactly what the Proteas were looking for as they need to restrict the Indian batters. Any total above 200 could prove to be tricky on the Cape Town pitch which has started becoming extremely unpredictable with its bounce.

The series is on the line with both teams winning one game each and a result now guaranteed in Cape Town.
