New Zealand Middle-Order Batters Fail to Make an Impact

After being asked to bat first, Tim Seifert and Finn Allen helped the team get off to a flying start. The hosts reached the 50-run mark inside just four overs. However, they failed to convert the start into a big score as Rauf removed Seifert. Mark Chapman, who scored 94 runs in the last match, added 24 off 16 balls.

Allen continued his onslaught against Pakistan bowlers. The right-handed batter completed his half-century off just 19 balls. He was removed by Abbas Afridi on the next ball after reaching the milestone. The middle-order batters failed to make an impact with the bat as they collapsed to 149/5 from 108/1.
