The Mumbai Indians (MI) legend Kieron Pollard, who is serving as the batting coach of the franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, was seen imitating the bowling action of Jasprit Bumrah on Thursday, April 17, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Looking at Kieron Pollard hilariously imitating the modern-day bowling great, Jasprit Bumrah, the former Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma was in splits.
Kieron Pollard sends a message to Hardik Pandya in a hilarious manner
Mumbai Indians opted to bowl first in their home game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and the Jasprit Bumrah-led bowling attack did a good job in the innings.
They kept picking wickets at regular intervals and didn't allow any SRH batters to play a big knock. Hardik Pandya was also spot-on with his bowling changes, and despite losing the services of Karn Sharma, he didn't panic and did a good job.
Notably, the veteran leg-spinner Karn Sharma, who played a key role in Mumbai Indians' victory in the last game, injured his hand while trying to stop a shot from Abhishek Sharma and was left bleeding.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya received good assistance from the Mumbai Indians head coach, Mahela Jayawardene, and batting coach, Kieron Pollard, while leading the team on the field.
Mahela Jayawardene and Kieron Pollard were seen conveying messages to Hardik Pandya from time to time, and while doing so, Pollard ended up producing a hilarious moment.
Sitting in the dugout, the duo were seen signaling Hardik Pandya to bring Jasprit Bumrah into the attack in the 16th over. Pollard was seen emulating Bumrah's action multiple times to convey the message, and looking at this, Rohit Sharma was left in splits.

Pollard and Hardik bhai always talk to me - MI batting star
Ahead of the MI vs SRH match, MI batter Naman Dhir, who has been in good form, said that Mahela Jayawardene has clearly told him to be ready to play the role of finisher for the team and revealed that he keeps talking to Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya from time to time.
“We take every match as a fresh start and we need to win more matches. So, we are taking every match as our first game of the tournament, and we want to win every match. So one match at a time for all of us. My role is very clear. MJ told me that you will bat at 6 and 7. So I have been preparing myself mentally since then. And if we talk about Pollard and Hardik bhai, they always talk to me. The main thing in this role is how you can stay calm. So I am learning from them.
“If I fear failure in those circumstances, then it's very difficult for me to play those shots. The management has also told me that we will back you. Just go and express yourself and play your shots,” Naman said.
Naman Dhir further revealed that he tries to take learnings from experienced campaigners like Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah. He elaborated:
“As a cricketer, I have grown a lot because I have gained experience by talking to the players and I would say that as you keep playing IPL and keep talking to the players, you keep growing as a cricketer. I’ve been talking to them [Surya, RO, BOOM, HP] since last year. They have a lot of experience."
