India National Cricket Team batter KL Rahul is having a hard time in Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The batter is currently part of the India A team, which is playing the second tour game against Australia A underway at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

KL Rahul, who was part of the Indian team for the New Zealand series, was drafted into the Indian A team for the second tour game against the Australia A. This was so that he could get used to conditions in Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, all set to take place from 22nd November.

KL Rahul bagged failures in both innings against Australia A

Rahul was slotted to open the innings for India A as he bagged failures in both the innings. The right-hander scored 4 runs in the first innings, and it was expected that he would set the stage on fire in the second innings. But that wasn't the case, as he was back in the hut early.

But Rahul has only himself to blame as it was a complete brain fade moment for him. The right-hander batted for more than 40 balls, and it seemed that he got crucial runs under his belt going into the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. But he was clean-bowled by spinner Corey Rocchiccioli in an extremely bizarre way.

Corey Rocchiccioli, who came into the attack later on in the day. The off-spinner bowled a delivery that was turning away towards the leg side. The batter offered no shot as the ball ricocheted off his pads to hit the stumps, leaving the batter embarrassed as he walked back to the dressing room.

KL Rahul gets out in a bizarre way against Australia A

Here's the video:

Rahul was back in the hut after scoring 10 off 44 balls. This surely wouldn't have done any confidence going into the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He was dropped from the Indian XI after the first Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

KL Rahul has been struggling to make an impact with the bat

Rahul, of late, has been struggling to make an impact with the bat. The right-hander has struggled to score runs, and with competition among the players, he surely has fallen back in the pecking order. He was replaced by Sarfaraz Khan in the XI for the last two Tests.

With the kind of form KL Rahul has shown of late, there's no clarity if he will be part of the playing XI for the first Test against Australia. Along with Sarfaraz Khan, he will be facing competition from Dhruv Jurel as well now after the keeper-batter proved his worth in Australia.

In the ongoing game against Australia A, where almost every India A batter struggled to get going, Dhruv Jurel has come up with sensational outings. In the first innings, the keeper-batter looked extremely solid with the bat slammed 80 runs and was unbeaten in the second innings.

The Indian team management, no doubt, will be facing a selection dilemma. It remains to be seen what will be the middle order for the India National Cricket Team in the first Test.
